How do I transfer my prescription medications to CORE Pharmacy?

We will be happy to transfer your prescriptions from any pharmacy. Simply call, email, fax, or drop off your prescription information to us. We will take care of the rest. We ask that you give us a minimum of 24 hours to transfer your prescription and complete your order.

How do I place a prescription refill request?

CORE Pharmacy will have several ways to take prescription refill requests. These include calling ahead and speaking to one of the technicians, entering your numbers through the automated 24 hours a day phone system, dropping off your refills at the pharmacy, or through the mobile app PocketRx.

How long will refills take to be fulfilled?

Refills may take up to 24 hours, compounds could take longer. Most requests will be fulfilled in a couple of hours.

What are my payment options for my prescription?

Here at CORE, we accept a number of insurance plans as well as offer the area's most competitive cash pricing to ensure you get the medication you need.

Will CORE Pharmacy have delivery services?

CORE Pharmacy is providing delivery service to the Marion area in the afternoons. We will also be offering limited delivery for other zip codes with set delivery days. Call to learn more about our delivery service.

Were you previously located somewhere else?

This question comes up a lot! We used to be located in Herrin, IL, under the name NaturalMed Apothecary. When our current building went up for sale, Erik Cornett (owner/pharmacist) seized the opportunity to move, rebrand, and reform his business in order to provide better care to southern Illinois.

What is compounding? Do I need a prescription?

Compounding is the combination of one or more ingredients to provide a dosage form that is not readily manufactured for the treatment of a particular ailment. Most compounds require a prescription from your practitioner. Some compounds are available as over-the-counter compounds in the state of Illinois.

Once a practitioner has sent a compounding prescription in, how long before I receive the prescription? What is the best way to avoid lapse of medication?

If verified by insurance, typical time from receipt of the prescription to receipt by you is 2-3 days. Since these are customized prescriptions, we like to verify that the customer still wants us to make the prescription and it takes time for the compounding to be completed and processed. Some of the more personalized supplements may take as many as 5 days to complete. In addition to allowing for the right amount of time, we suggest ordering these compounded formulas in quantity of 300 to avoid lapse of medication.
